So this album was definately a surprise. When I picked up this album, I thought I was going to be listening to a russian stab at Stoner Rock what I heard in return was very different. Although you can hear some of the influences of second wave of stoner rock (a.k.a. Jersey bands like Solace/Solarized) but it is heavily influenced by early 2000 radio rock (a.k.a. Godsmack) merged with the sounds of late grunge (a.k.a. Silverchair?) all wraped up in a commercial package yet as unoriginal as the various obvious influences are on this album, who cares !!! It freaking rocks. Yeah Yeah, I know this is supposed to be a metal website but every once in a while a hard rock album comes along that actually has songs that infiltrate my head and don't blend in with the homogenous crap on the radio. Obviously it would be great if this album actually made it to the radio but the fact that they are Russian and there is always a never-ending stream of Nickelback and other assorted watered down cookie cutter radio rock that this will probably never get any air time but one could hope. Great job selling me on a Radio Rock album !
